The Studio G is a generic soft-touch plastic slab, which comes at 5.63 by 2.88 by 0.39 inches (HWD) and 5.5 ounces. It feels relatively sturdy for such a low-cost device and fortunately is free of any garish design flair. An odd choice: the micro USB charging port is on the top edge of the device, which makes it a bit inconvenient to use while charging.
Studio G is unlocked for GSM (850/900/1800 / 1900MHz) and HSPA (850/1700 / 1900MHz) networks. In the USA UU., That means that it will work in AT & T, T-Mobile or MVNO that use those two GSM networks. I tried it with an AT & T SIM card, which worked fine without any additional configuration. However, the quality of the call was medium in my tests, with harsh tones in the headset and muted transmissions through the microphone. The volume of the speaker is quite weak, while noise cancellation is practically non-existent.
Without 4G LTE, you'll want to stick to Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n for faster data, but keep in mind that Studio G lacks 5GHz network support. They complete the Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity options.
Like its larger counterpart, Studio G is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor, but paired with only 512MB of RAM, half as much as Studio X Plus. Performance has an impact to some extent, but especially if you are the type that jumps between applications running. I noticed some more stutters and spasmodic animations in addition to blockages of semi-frequent applications. It is not debilitating as long as you know the limits of the phone, but those limits will be a big obstacle for the user of the application too enthusiastic.
