Nokia 8 Sirocco User Guide Manual Tips Tricks Download[/caption]Nokia's licensee, HMD Global, will launch its latest line of Android smartphones at MWC 2018. Meanwhile, the company seems to be reviving Nokia's popular brands, since it has allegedly registered a new phone with the model number TA -1005 as the Nokia 8 Siroco '. The term was previously used in the Nokia 8800 Sirocco in 2006, for the premium version of the Nokia 8800 phone.
According to the Dutch website Mobielkopen, TA-1005 has registered as Nokia 8 Sirocco, adding that version 2018 of the Nokia 8 will be released soon, with the Sirocco brand. The name appeared on the mobile certification website of Thailand. This information occurs approximately one month after a NokiaMob report suggested the name, since the "Nokia 8 Sirocco" logo was found within the updated Nokia 5 camera application.
Interestingly, it was expected that the model number TA-1005 would be attributed to the highly anticipated Nokia 9, which is speculated to be announced at MWC 2018. According to the certification of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), it was expected that the Nokia 9 with the model numbers TA-1005, TA-1042 and TA-1009. The Nokia 9 variant that appeared on the FCC site had the codename Avatar.
According to the FCC list, the model number TA-1005 will have a 5.5-inch OLED screen manufactured by LG Display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It also has a dual camera configuration with 12 megapixel and 13 megapixel sensors. It is said that the phone comes with a 3250 mAh battery with fast charge support.
It will not be the first time that HMD will try to renew the classic brands of Nokia. We have seen the Nokia 3310 get a new avatar in 2017, and now a 4G version of the phone has also been introduced.
HMD Global has already promised that its next line of smart phones will be launched at the MWC. While speculations abound that Nokia 9 and Nokia 1 will be the protagonists of the event, we can also expect the Sirocco variant of the Nokia 8.
